Duties & Responsibilities
●Designs optical sub-system and module parts for optical telecommunication industry
●Develops new or improves existing products
●Performs engineering analysis required to verify design performance and reliability
●Designs and analyzes RFQ, customer SPEC, detailed design, DVT, FMEA, initial BOM building, execute design review
●Performs the project within budget & schedule, be able to work with global cross culture functional team
●Designs for lower cost and higher performance
●Designs for manufacturing and process
●Improve and optimize product design, process design
●Release optical parts and production BoM in Agile
●Processes troubleshooting and yield improvement
Qualification & Requirements
●Master or Doctor degree in Optics, Electro-optics, Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background required
●5+ years’ experience in optical modeling, design and product development
●Knowledge of optical fiber communication in optics network architectures applications.
●Familiar with active components, passive components, subsystem modules and their test methods in optical fiber communication
●Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues in optical design and product development
●Design the new product architecture to meet the customer specifications or RI/RFQ
●Simulate the new optical modeling and design table experiments to verify
●Familiar with kinds of passive and active components applied in optical amplifier
●Knowledge of engineering theory and optical subsystems design criteria preferredliar with active components, passive components, subsystem modules and their test methods in optical fiber communication
