We seek an enthusiastic, patient, and qualified native English-speaking tutor to provide comprehensive academic support and immersive English-language guidance for our two children attending an international IB school. The tutor will design tailored lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years (MYP) Programmes, covering all core subjects (e.g., Mathematics, Science, Language Arts, Humanities) while fostering critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver daily after-school academic support (all subjects) and immersive English-language instruction.
Create engaging, student-centered lesson plans complementing the IB curriculum.
Assist with homework, projects, exam preparation, and skill development.
Provide weekend enrichment activities (educational outings, language practice, creative projects).
Cultivate a positive, English-only environment to enhance fluency and academic confidence.
Schedule
Monday–Friday: After school until bedtime (approx. 5:30 PM–9:30 PM, including dinner supervision)
Saturday & Sunday: Full daytime hours (flexible schedule for academic/leisure activities)
Requirements
Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
Bachelor’s degree (Education, STEM, or Humanities preferred).
Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching/tutoring IB students in international schools.
Proven ability to teach multiple subjects (Grades 6–7 level).
Warm, patient demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
Clean criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching certification (PGCE, state license, etc.).
Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and IB assessment methods.
Experience designing immersive language activities.
