A client’s reliability team is looking for someone who will be responsible for developing & executing novel test methodologies to validate the robustness of products/sub- assemblies, materials, and supplier technology. Day-to-day responsibilities: ? Preparing concise and detailed reliability test plans and reports with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks to meet challenging deadlines. ? Analyzing experimental data to provide in-depth understanding of design features. ? Researching state-of-the-art technology to understand root causes of test failures. ? Interacting with a diverse and hardworking group of team members to communicate results and provide program direction. Candidate will need command of these areas to help: ? Performing environmental and mechanical stress tests including shock, drop, and vibration. ? Failure analysis techniques such as optical microscopy, x-ray or CT scans, scanning electron microscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry. ? Fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure. ? Knowledge of industry test standards from JEDEC, ASTM, and IEEE. ? Application of Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. ? Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or Physical Sciences. ? Data coding / analysis skill like Python, R, Tableau etc. Education and Experience: ? BS. MS. or PhD Engineering degree ? 4+ years of experience in a related field or industry
