Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Staff Accountant to join our Tianjin branch and take on a pivotal role in driving financial excellence for both our firm and clients. You will lead the preparation and in-depth analysis of complex financial statements, ensuring that all financial information is accurate, complete, and compliant with both international and local accounting standards. As a key team member, you will oversee the annual closing and financial reconciliation processes, coordinate internal and external audits, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will also mentor and develop junior and mid-level accountants, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement within the team. In the areas of tax compliance and risk management, you will provide expert guidance to ensure timely and accurate tax filings and adherence to regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will play an integral role in high-complexity projects such as financial restructuring and mergers & acquisitions, delivering precise financial modeling, due diligence, and strategic advisory to help clients achieve their business objectives and maximize value. Responsibilities:
- Managing Client Accounts: Overseeing the preparation and maintenance of clients' financial records, ensuring accuracy in data entry, voucher preparation, and reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing accurate financial statements for clients on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Audit Support: Leading the audit preparation process and providing support to auditors by gathering necessary documentation and facilitating the audit.
- Tax Support: Collaborating with tax professionals to ensure clients' tax filings are compliant with regulations, assisting with tax planning and strategy.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintaining strong relationships with clients, addressing inquiries, and providing expert advice on financial matters.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensuring that financial reporting adheres to accounting principles, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Team Leadership: Mentoring junior staff, overseeing their work, and providing guidance in solving complex accounting and financial issues.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Working closely with the team to achieve department objectives and contribute to firm-wide initiatives.
- Continual Learning: Engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and accounting skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred or CPA candidate with progress towards licensure.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting or a relevant field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership capabilities with experience guiding and mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards in accounting practices.
