*Technical aspects associated with trait integration activities.
*Implementing protocols to accomplish trait integration of breeding lines, including GMO traits and native disease traits.
*Accountable for TI daily operation to make sure it is accomplished with high efficiency and quality.
*Interacting across various breeding programs within CSI to coordinate TI related works and to communicate results in a timely manner.
*Work with diverse teams of colleagues and stakeholders to effectively schedule projects throughout all year.
*Developing strong ties with trait breeder to make sure the project moves in the right direction.
*Train and manage seasonal or temporary workers.
Qualifications
*MSc degree in Plant Breeding or Genetics with at least 2 years’ experience designing and conducting field-oriented breeding experiments or TI related works; or MSc in Agronomy or related fields, with at least 3 years’ plant breeding or TI work experience; or Bachelor in Agronomy related fields with at least 5 years’ breeding, TI related work experience.
*Excellent knowledge of plant genetics and plant breeding with preference towards corn.
*Good knowledge of plant genome, molecular genetics, and marker assisted breeding.
*Good interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with other colleagues effectively.
*Ability and motivation to learn and apply new technologies, able to learn and use corporate IT tools, and use that knowledge to optimize or create new process files associated with daily operation.
*Greenhouse management experience is a plus.
*Good English communication skills.
*Flexibility for frequent travel. In this role, travel may average 30% but can be up to 75% in busier months.
