TEACHING ASSIGNMENT
? Teach core subject areas, including literacy, math, social studies, and
science.
? Teach six units of inquiry of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary
Years Programme (PYP).
? Implement the Readers Writers Workshop Model.
? Deliver instruction to a wide range of literacy and learning abilities in
coordination with our EAL and Learning Support specialists.
? Continuously document updates of their curriculum and planning units
in ATLAS Rubicon, the school’s online collaborative tool. Updates are
through cycle reviews and informed by best practices and research in
teaching and learning.
? Differentiate student-learning experiences through the use of a variety
of teaching and assessment strategies in order to meet the needs of all
students.
? Maintain records of student progress and achievement and assess
students’ academic, social and emotional growth by using
observations, both formative assessments, as well as an established set
of common summative assessments.
? Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding
student progress on a regular basis.
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS
? Lead an activity for two out of the three sessions of the After School
Activities program.

? Attend Wednesday faculty meetings after school, which are focused
on grade level, full faculty, and professional development.
? Participate in planning meetings with PYP Coordinator, Grade Level
Team and PLC (professional learning community).
? Supervise duties according to a rotating schedule.
