About the role (Contractor)
The Reward Partner for Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong is an important role in our HR function. This role works closely with both the business and HR in enabling us to evolve
the business at pace, and attract, motivate, and retain best in class talent. The successful candidate will be involved in key reward agenda and projects, as well as the
operational delivery of reward processes for both Compensation and Benefits. The ability to deliver tailored reward solutions within a global framework, providing commerciallyfocused, pragmatic advice, and ensuring the reward programs align with the
organisation’s needs both now and in the future is essential.
The role is based in Shanghai and reports to Reward Business Partner (lead of China &
Hong Kong), also based in Shanghai.
Key responsibilities
Implement Compensation and Benefits programmes and offerings, balancing adherence
to global frameworks with local requirements:
? Participate in projects and support core processes ensuring high quality and
efficient deployment, which will include leading implementation of the Annual
Reward Cycle (Performance & Reward process), salary benchmarking, benefits
reviews, etc.
? Provide expert Compensation and Benefits guidance to the business and HR
leaders
? Manage the relationship with external Benefits vendors and complete annual
renewals.
? Work with metrics, reports and compensation & benefits tools to inform reward
decisions ensuring they support business performance and objectives (for
example job evaluation)
? Participate in various market surveys to get insights on market trends
? Develop and design local compensation & benefits programs and policies to
ensure compliance with up-to-date local government regulations and in line with
business strategy
? Deliver Rewards related training/education to both HR and business where
necessary.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree and above
- 5+ years related working experience with solid C&B knowledge and skills
- Good understanding of the markets incl. government regulations and market
trends, and the differences in the countries in scope of the role
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, managing complex issues and creative
problem solving
- Strong analytical skills with process-oriented mindset
- Ability to work with stakeholders of varying seniority
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Language: fluent in both Chinese and English
Preferred
- Experience from a large / global corporation
- Previous experience of working in complex/matrixed organisations
- Experience from working in a Consumer Goods industry.
